In a pinch, Rustoleum #1403 does a very nice job.

BUT all of us cannot afford and/or are not building mega-$$ concourse type machines -- rattle can raiders work fine for everyday beaters. TAZ <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/naughty.gif
Although the wheels were painted enamel and the grill lacquer.

Yes. In many cases, no one will ever know whether or not You used a rattle can or a paint gun anyway, so long as the color is close enough.

no you might not be able to tell in color, but the last effect and endurance of the spray gun and mixed paint provides a better finish, coverage and protection.
All in what your looking for......

The grille filler panel should not have a shine to it. It's a flat unbuffed laquer look.

I have been using PPG acrylic enamel with a medium reducer, sprays thin, flashes off fast and gives the look Kenny is talking about, OEM type finish. ( Not urethane shiny ) Lacquer is great too but my store does not mix it and this sprays and looks the same.
