I have A friend thats interested in the blue 69 Yenko Chevelle coming up at Mecum.
I know its from the Otis Chandler collection and a well known car thats pretty original.
Does anyone have any knowledge about the car as far as originality of paint, drive train and interior?
I also seen a post that said there are some vintage photo's of it with a hood with mopar scoops, I searched and couldn't find any. I would love to see them if someone could send me a link or post them up I would appreciate it very much.
Thank you

I noticed on Mecums site (and here) it's got a rear spoiler. What's the spoiler off of?

Can someone put me in touch with the current owner of this car? I have a drag strip video I would like to share with him.

Rick - if this is the "Montini" YENKO, Eddie M. may be able to help you.

Thanks Sam. It used to be in the Otis Chandler collection and has been at MCACN the last two years if I recall correctly.

I believe the car was a no sale at the Mecum Kissimmee auction in January so it may still be in CO with Wayne.

Thanks. Here is a video from Minnesota Dragways that I found on FB and his car can be seen several times in the background. Can be seen at 3:49, 6:13 and 6:30. This was when the original owner of the Yenko (who's name escapes me but I think it was Bruce) owned it. Other cars such as "The Impossible Dream" can be seen on there as well.

It was! I lived at this drag strip as well as North Star Drag strip in my teen years running these two cars though neither have EVER shown up on any videos or still shots and we raced EVERY weekend. Great times indeed.

Wayne no longer owns the Yenko. As I recall it was a great car.

The original owners name is Dennis. I was told he looked at the car several times on the showroom floor at Grossman, with out buying the car. A sharp salesman took the car off the show floor and parked it in a remote area. When Dennis came back he told him the car was sold. After telling the salesman he would have bought it. He finally did. He took very good care of the car. On the last week end of racing at North Star. He offered me the car and trailer for $6,000 bucks. I was about $5,900 short. Earl
