usually wherever the assembly line guy felt like slapping them on that day, they are mostly on the passenger side of the lid from all the originals I have seen and almost never on straight

Here is my example of the jacking instruction label, can't see a Posi decal (yes, it is an SS posi car)

The AIM shows where they are supposed to be placed but wasn't always the case.

There is variation on the location, but they are universally crooked! I believe the assy guy glued up the posi paper tag, leaned in from the side (I highly doubt they stood behind the car and eyed it up perfectly!), and slapped it on!

This is a survivor 1970 [jan] you can see the labels along with the hotrod stickers...hope that helps.

I have seen a couple of originals in pictures where the decal is actually slapped on some of the support bumps of the decklid.

Same guy who placed the factory decals must have placed the hot rod decals. 😊

Here is how nasty they can be from the assembly line. Kansas survivor. I think the assembly worker was likely in a bad mood that particular day.

I think he got the glue on his hand first, wiped it off on the decklid, then stuck the label on!

My 72 Chevelle - underside of the trunk lid still original paint, and original stickers. Not sure if there was any difference between Camaro/Nova/Chevelle as others have said - depends on attitude of line worker installing the stickers that day

I have been documenting this detail on 65-70 B bodys for about 15 years. Very interesting stuff. For example you can see 10 Tarrytown NY cars that are in one common location, but 10 Janesville WI cars that are in a different common location. Same applies with jacking instructions.

Willow Run was in MI, all '68+ Novas were built there. The '70 Yenko Deuce Novas were built in 05D, 06A and 06B - I'm sure we have some original pics to share....
