I watched that car go through too ive seen that same car before at barrett Jackson some years back, I think it went for around 100 the colors or the originality of the driveline are keeping the car down.

Yeah, how does a 1969 Ford Bronco (sold for $107.5K) sell more than a 1969 COPO Camaro <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/hmmm.gif

If the guy that bought the bronco lives on the east coast, he can make half that money back plowing this weekend.

Seems there are still big spenders with the 70 Hemi Cuda vert pulling close to $2.7 million and the 71 Hemi Cuda vert selling for $2.3 million. TA convertibles also pulled some big numbers.

No original dr ivetrain, no paperwork, and light green interior. Doesnt seem like thats the recipe to bring top dollar.

A whole different stratosphere of market and buyer.

I think that with the market down we will see this as a boost for the auctions. As in the mentality that collector cars being safer place to put your money! Wouldn't surprise me if the big auctions were behind the market down turn <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/hmmm.gif . For shame for blaming the Chinese! <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/no.gif <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/smirk.gif <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/wink.gif <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/whistle.gif

Market turndown? 2 70 hemi convert cars[NOT even 71s!] did almost 5m between them. The market is never down for the best cars.....

I am happy a 440 (non 6 pack) cuda convert 4spd went for $350K today (insane). I have to go hug my 340 4spd in the garage tonight (even though its just a shell at the moment).

One of those Cudas was a '71 auto and the other was a '70 4-speed. Neither of the ZL-1's got anywhere near to the pre-auction estimates and both of the Yenko Chevelles also didn't attract big numbers.

i look at the solds and see some good money . A couple of 69 yenko camaros over 300k, a motion for over 400k. The copo for 90k is pretty low so the crowd knows something about it. I like too see iron clad documents with 69 copos. Remember a a week or two a copo rs in a garage with non original motor sold for 75K but it had documents . YOUR UP-YOUR DOWN --> just like the stock market

I agree - a mixed bag - Yenkos did great. Must have been great cars. ZL1s didn't do much IMO. Boss 9s - weak money. I thought that there were a lot of good buys on mid-range cars.

So many Boss 9's & '69 Camaros in this auction.

The old Broncos are white hot now, tied into the old pick up marketplace it seems. See the price of old Grand Wagoneers lately.?

Didn't the white Jsck Douglas Yenko sell rather low in comparison to some of the others? Personally, I like that light green '69 Camaro interior in the COPO, but I can see why that, the lack of paperwork and the lack of original drivetrain wiuld hold that one back.

For many collectors the car sits above a regular COPO Camaro, but below a Yenko Chevrolet delivered COPO. The market seems to be saying it is a "tweener". It is certainly unique since it's the only white Yenko Camaro, but since it was delivered through Jack Douglas Chevrolet originally it seems to have a lower value.

I Use to own that car in it was raced alot in its earlier years , i sold it in 2013 not sure if car was driven much in past 2 years since i only drove it 10 miles al most in the full year half i had it , it was nice car when it was in my collection , I would have bought it back if i new the owner was going to sell it less than 95$ that owner was not a collector car guy he was late model car dealer . I spoke to him a few months back to see if he had sold it yet because i had a buyer interested but he was asking 125,000 at the time , oh well he just learned something in collector cars . Im looking for some pictuRes of the #54 ZL1 LEMANS BLUE , IF ANYONE KNOWS OF ANY ORIGINAL PHOTO , IVE HEARD THE ENGINE IS BACK TOGETHER ?? I HAVE AN OVER THE TOP RECREATION OF THAT CAR WITH REAL DATE CODE ZL1 ENGINE IN IT
