Grill emblem for COPO and Yenko Camaros?

Saw a few of these L72's go through Mecum in the last couple of days. Believe I saw some with the "bowtie" grill emblem and some without. What is correct?

Also, my memory tells me there was at least one non RS L72 having a Black grill.

Hi Don. A friend had a low mile copo that had a black grille from new. [non RS car]

Open headlight L72 Copos got silver grills .
RS L72 Copos got black grills except for black RS Copos which got silver grills

But anything is possible. Ratical One had black grill from new according to original owner

Front grille emblem are on COPO's that are not Yenko's (Cannonsburg). I am sure some others did not have them either.

All 1969 Yenko Camaros were delivered with grill emblems. Most were removed at Yenko, BUT there are examples were the emblem was left in place. One of the gold demonstrators also left the rear emblem in place...BKH
