I'm confused. The vin on the NCRS paperwork is different than the vin he refers to on the Dick Harrell decal etc.

VIN - 114278W354271
Not sure how the SYC page shown fits in?
Are DH decal #'s even supposed to be as any Vin digits?
Hope it's all true!

1968 Chevrolet Nova SS L79
The original drivetrain is missing from the vehicle. Now has a big block short block. No heads or intake. The bellhousing and clutch assembly are bolted to the shortblock. 4 speed transmission in the trunk. Roller.
Dick Harrell Serial Number: 369658
VIN: 114278W354271
The forth car on the COPO list included in the photo section, went to Dick Harrell's. The serial number on this car's Dick Harrell stickers is the next number 369358 and it's also a KK color code car.
The car also was a Gledhill Chevy car
Notes: For some odd reason this car was painted same color as Garners L88 corvettes and all the Gledhill race cars and tow trucks. I was originally told that this car got a L88 put in it at dick Harrell's and motor was pulled and put in garners vette and coincidentally that's when they started winning races So far I have proof it's a Gledhill car Witch is where Garners L88 Corvettes and a lot of other race cars came from.

It seems they relied pretty heavily on info from this site. Did all DH cars get that little decal because our Camaro doesn't have one?

Very neat car!!!
Why do you suppose the blue paint on the hood and trunk don't seem to match the blue shade on the rest of the car?

I don't believe he is stating the Nova is one of the 50 Gibb COPOs. Listing says it was an L79. What he is trying to say is that the Harrell VIN# with Matching COPO vin is the very next car to his, which is not the list. Can anyone shed light on the Harrell VIN sticker?

Well I don't think it was a L79 car either. In the 1968 nova the super sport package was only available with the L48 350 CI 295HP engine option. It was most likely a converted L48 car. I would like to see the date code on the BB heater core, that might reveal a time period when it was converted. I wonder if it has the 68 big block transmission cross member or even the nova BB core support.

I'm guessing he meant L78 and not L79. Is this a case where that sticker or piece of glass with the sticker ended up on that car from another car ? It is clear the vin on that sticker does not match the vin of the car.

Not a L78 car either has a 5000 redline tach. I'm not here to bash the car it looks solid. Just a lot of what ifs.
