15 watchers so far, this is the social media version of a looky-lou (all those folks that slow down to get a good look at a wreck).

I just submitted a bid of $75 which was promptly rejected.

There are really not many of them left but I would give $1,000 for them. Heck, they get a $1,000 for white stripe trunk weatherstripping. This is the first thing you see when you open the doors. They belong on a show car.

I mean no disrespect to anyone here but man sometimes I think you guys need to have your head examined. I would never pay 1000 dollars so I can see the little rivets when I open the door. There's simply more important things in the world to me then that. I'd rather polish my originals. Talk about being a slave to your car. I can't believe someone paid 100 dollars the other day fora wingnut. I must have 20 of them in my toolbox from over the years of taking apart gtos. I'm not shy with some of my prices for parts that are dear to me but I just don't have the heart/balls to charge someone that for a nut! I'll get off my soapbox now. Back to your same Bat channel......

its a sales tactic..

i search highest first when i do a search to weed out light bulbs and air fresheners....those sill plates would come up pretty much first...then theres the make offer..he's fishing for the one guy that has to have them...he can set up acceptance or rejection..so hes in control...

who knows where hes really at..but its a good idea for something so rare..and hey..maybe..theres some one out there willing to pay it..

I'm sure the seller is watching here and enjoying the exposure. The prices on the other parts he/she has listed aren't shy either.

We just add the rivets to the Nova sill plates, either glue them or drill tiny holes and then install them. We use the oval plates from nice originals. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/dunno.gif

I know a set selling for $2500 back in 2008 or so. They aren't making anymore of these and I'm sure there's only a handful of sets left. Perfect for that special car. Good luck seller!

You can take a Nos pair and take the rivets from old set and put them in and you can never tell the difference

I don't care how special of a a car someone has. That's just plain stupid to waste money on a nothing part like that. The last guy said it best. Just put your old rivets on the new part. Show a little ingenuity.

I know you make a living out of selling parts Matt and I sell some of my parts for good money but pigs like this just make it bad for everyone.

The NOS one in the paper and plastic packaging, are produced from worn stampings and have lost a lot of detail. I found a set of nos riveted on ebay for $300 a year ago.
