View Full Version : So, what cars don't you see on the road anymore?

I was thinking of this the other day when I saw a late 80s Dodge Daytona Turbo Z. Some cars you just don't see on the road anymore. That's one of them! <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/frown.gif For whatever reason, some cars just don't make it long term. Oh course there's a reason for that, I'm sure. So what haven't you seen burnin' up the streets around you 'hood?
Cheers <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/beers.gif

We owned a '76 Buick Century with the V6 for a while. You never see any of them, or their Oldsmobile equivalent anymore.
Traded the Buick for a '63 Riviera.

Every once in a while I'll see an unmodified, stock 1985-90 Mustang V8. Egg-poacher wheels, twin beveled stainless tailpipes, "5.0" emblem on the fender. Always catches my eye.

I have a bet with my co-worker to see which one of us spots a Pacer in the wild because he had one many years ago. Neither of us has seen one since the bet - the last year or so.

SHO Taurus was a bad ride for what it was. Older guy I worked with in college at Auto Zone up in Bowling Green, KY had several of them and would go up to Mid Ohio and race one in street trim. And it was a 5 speed IIRC..

Here locally there is a 1989 Beretta listed for sale in our local newspaper classifieds. Also whenever I go for a walk downtown there is always a Merkur XR4TI parked in the same spot. For as many as they built I see very few 3rd gen Camaros around here anymore. I think I actually see more 2nd gens, including mine.
1984 Fiero,and with good reason.

Jack, I'm a big fan of the 84-92(?) Prelude, I just never ever see them around unfortunately. Your '89 is the loaded one, pretty cool. My ex had a white '88 S that was just beautiful to drive, as were most Honda's between the mid-80's to early 90's. To me, those were Honda's golden years.
