I'm not counting my chickens yet, but the deal on the 67 L78 Camaro that I posted a number of months ago may be back on. I'm trying to figure out what my options are for the car which includes letting the current owner paint it, getting some work done in the US before shipping it up here, or getting the work done up here. The car is absolutely rust free, but the owner had a buddy paint it and it turned out poorly. He then sanded the car down and primed it again. But it is unfinished. Basically what I need is for the car to be prepped and repainted, new headliner and carpet, and maybe seat covers and door panels. It does need new fuel lines, the proper harmonic balancer and the windshield wiper motor reinstalled. This can be done at the same time or up here. My goal is to have a really nice driver when complete.

I'm wondering if anyone on the site that does this type of work would be interested or are there any recommendations for a shop that would be suitable for this level of resto?

Contact Mauro Brocca - Sounds totally up his alley. He is in Oakville.

I wouldn't have the seller do it. It would just give him a chance to back out of the deal again.

I'm thinking the same thing Jason. But in his defence, I don't think that he would intentionally do anything like that. I'm more afraid that he would change his mind again if it turned out really nice. He has owned it for almost 20 years.

That is what I meant. There is really no upside for you. It will either turn out marginal and will be yours or will turn out great and it may not be yours.
