Searching for Cragar wheel disc brake spacer plates (kit #29100) that was specified from a period of 1966-72 for a 5 bolt; 4-3/4 Chevy bolt pattern. The actual part number that is cast on the backside of the spacer plate is #29098.

Cragar does offer a spacer plate kit (#29200) for a 5 bolt; 4-3/4 Chevy bolt pattern, however the replacement spacer plate is different in appearance than the original.

Looking for an original set for period correctness.

Thanks!

Would like to find one more Cragar adapter plate to compliment the one in the photo. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/beers.gif

Dave, I don't know what you have in mind for these, but a 15x6" Cragar GT will clear a 4 piston GM caliper without a spacer.

Oh.....I assumed that the spacer plates were needed for a 68 application because the 1969 Cragar GT Factory literature (see attached) lists a 14x6 rim for a 69 Camaro with or without disc brakes or 15x6 rim for a 69 Camaro disc brake option. However the 15x6 rim is only listed for a 68 Camaro disc brake application.

I know that the overall dimension of a 68 Camaro caliper when installed on the rotor is larger than the 69 Camaro caliper installed therefore requiring the larger 15x6 rim and according to notation "1" when referenced in the Cragar literature it lists the corresponding "Custom Wheel Disc Brake Spacer" kit 29100 is needed for clearance.

Somewhat confusing??? <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/confused.gif

In my experience, if a wheel clears the 4 piston caliper, it will clear the single piston (69-up) caliper.

I have been running 15x6" GTs on my 1968 Z/28 for years with no spacers, and no problems. Just FYI.

That is correct Tony.

The Cragar GT 15x6 wheels will be going on a 68 camaro with original 4 piston calipers. Sounds like I am good to go....learn something new every day.

Much appreciated! <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/biggthumpup.gif
