Car is sold pending payment.
Hi All,
For sale is a dear friend's 1969 Z28 documented by GM Canada build sheet. NCRS paperwork further authenticates it being a real Canada car. Coretz silver on black interior and black stripes. 100% born with original cowl tag and rear.
X77, M22, 3.73s. Block is date code correct out of another Z28 from Heartbeat City. Transmission is a replacement M21 with M22 gears. 12 bolt is born with original. Very nice cortez paint. NOS replacement front fenders. I believe cowl hood is added but it is GM.
I personally set up the mechanical items: 186 heads, 472 intake, 515 voltage regulator, 9204 booster, 862 horn relay, DZ carb and 837 alternator from our own 427-King, 367 starter, 403 bellhousing, , 456dv water pump pulley, 668cg crank pulley, 772 fan and clutch, NOS GM valve covers. All hoses and hardware correct. Has brand new Hooker headers coated by Calico with 2.5 exhaust + Walker Turbo Mufflers. Sounds awesome! Interior is brand new and mint. Exterior was just professionally detailed for $600 and looks great.
If you're in the market for a wonderful running and driving [authentic] Z28 - this is it. $52,000 and VERY motivated to sell. Will consider respectful offers. Car is in Suffolk County, LI.
Thanks,
Dan

My buddy is very interested in selling asap as other projects are in the pipeline already. I have no financial affiliation in the deal, just the connection to the seller. Let me know if you'd like to know more?
Items I neglected to mention - brand new BFG tires, brand new Heartbeat City rear leaf springs, brand new front suspension (rides/handles great!) and full receipts of all work done... Tom Zeeman did the carb and Gregory did the booster. Joe Perri did the horn relay. Top restorers here...
Thanks,
Dan

Thanks for the kind words!
We couldn't find a quality endura bumper and decided to leave the steel bumper on it. With some weekend projects left, it's a great Z. Lots of serious interest. I doubt it will last long.

Dan

What would this car go for if it had the original engine and transmission?

What would this car go for if it had the original engine and transmission?..
I personally would rather have this canada doc car without the original motor than a car with original motor and zero paperwork.

I wasn't asking what you'd rather have. I was just curious what kind of added value the original engine and transmission would add to this vehicle.

Cdn docs having born with numbers engine & trans? Average as follows in USD.
$55K to $60K needing restoration work
$80K to 90K w/ high quality restoration
$100K+ survivor class
An X33 coded car would be worth slightly more, and rare options only add to it. Cdn Docs are pretty much bullet proof in establishing the cars original origin/build and contribute heavily to it's net worth. The higher the degree of it's restoration or its survivor status can add significant value as well. If a car doesn't come with irrefutable paperwork then it always leads to question? That is why many collectors prefer Cdn sold cars as GM docs are readily available to order. Adding the original sales paper, receipts and owner history will of course add to that.
