Looking for a '69 original tuxedo black camaro. Open to both a 396 car or Z/28 with paper work. As we all know finding an original black car isn't the easiest thing, hopefully someone through this forum may know of or have any leads on one.

Please PM.

Thanks.

Are you wanting a finished car or a project? Dez (Tracker1) had a black Z project car. Not sure if he still has it.

Black is tough enough to find. Getting one with paperwork (beyond the shipper).... even tougher.

You may have to settle for one that has an original trim tag as proof.

I sold my black Z a few months back. There was one on Rochester craigslist but it too is now gone. They don't last long, once advertised.

Ideally I'm looking for a finished car, but due to the difficulty in finding a true black car i would consider a project.

Mike Kaiser has one listed on eBay. I heard he would like in the 80K range for it.

Thanks James for the plug, the car just sold to someone that read your post. I guess what they say is true, if you want to sell your car dont advertise it for sale !! <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/grin.gif

I saw it at Pavilions. Originally Daytona Yellow/black vinyl.

Agree with William. Contacted Mike a few months back about the car, asked for confirmation that car as presented matched the trim tag. He responded that the tag scheme was 76 B and 711 but that the car build date preceded availability of Tuxedo from the factory, so it was an early repaint.
Won't comment on that, other than to refer to the CRG color usage.

Yellow certainly is a very desirable color too.

If you want to restore one, here's an original X77 that JM has certified in 10/10 paint.

I am happy to share with you all that we at Mascar Classics have purchased this car; we intend to restore it to perfection! Very excited about this car and appreciate Mike working with us on the purchase. Our intention is to restore it in a mild “day 2” configuration for the 2018 MCACN event.

We will share some photo's when we get the car and inspect it on the lift, etc. We will not be starting the restoration until January of next year .... lots of work going on at the shop, so we will put her in storage and start looking for the parts we need to get the project going.

Cheers <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/smile.gif
