Looks like an Ansen sheild.
The traction bars appear to be Lakewood rectangular short tails.
Here is a set of "Traction Action" on my Deuce. Day Two living large!

Rick,
Love your Deuce <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/worship.gif

Dan;
Many thanks. I'm still working through a few issues; but, that being said, I really like the car. Sure gets a lot of attention at the smaller "show and shines" in the southern Utah area--heck, most car guys haven't seen one in many years, if at all.

Scatter shield looks like one I used in the 80's from Lakewood. Ansen has the noted hole on the indented radius where the lakewoods didn't. Just a rust old lakewood I would say, but wouldn't know the year.

Lakewood shield , Pre 1970....the sight hole, gauge hole at bottom center defines this. Outlawed by NHRA shortly after 1970 ish.
The Thick surrounding flange also dates this to mid 60's and later but not beyond 1971.
The Plate....IDK...I see no louvers or holes for airflow....
Odd it doesn't.... the starter hole knockout is odd too.
The Bars are the earliest design of rectangular , short bars....the mounting pad is key.
Later 70's into 80's....
90's are even chincier.... generic as we know them compared to early stuff.....
Keep in mind....these bars can be even earlier than late 70's.....as Lakewood offered these along with the now ultra scarce , Competition Bars....the Square, Long Bars.
Not all applications had Competition Bars available. But the rectangular bars were.

By the way..
Those bars need the flanges, mounting flanges welded up and redrilled as they are mushroomed & elongated from bad nuts and no washers.....& use, abuse and loose
