2016 camaro nationals pics

Did anyone go to the Camaro National this weekend? I am looking for pictures?Know a person that restored a yellow 1970 z/28 and had it concours judged .Looking to see how he did. thanks

Sorry I don't have any pictures. I am one of the judges that looked over Rogers yellow 1970 z28 camaro. I Can surely say Dan did a awsome job of restoring. It was 1st judged as a bowtie class car with legends check. It qualified for legends and went through legends judging.

Roger Turpening's Daytona Yellow 70 RS Z28 has a great story and Dan Kemppainen did a beautiful job on the restoration. Roger's car scored a 95.04% for Silver in Legends. Five 2nd Gens Went through Legends this weekend, three for Restored and two Survivors. It was a great show ...with a big turnout of cool cars and people....The Legends/Display Building was 95% full. The crowds were steady both days. A special congrats to Frank Arone with his 2nd Gen 70 Z....scoring Platinum the first time out 4,994 out of 5000 in the Legends Class which is 99.87 % <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/youguysrock.gif As I know it ....it's the highest score ever received. Splitting hairs...but Frank scored a 4988 for 99.76%, which included 35 Bonus points. He raised the bar with that car...absolutely gorgeous and well deserved.

NCRS has national and regional shows for vettes. I am guessing it does not work that way for Camaros for summer month fun? btw, all the camaro's in these pics are killer, especially the dark blue one!

How many camaros in total (approximately) would there be at this show?

I was told there was a little over 350 registered cars....that's the outside/ inside cars combined. The inside cars consisted of about 30 cars approx

I had my Rallye Green 69 Z/28 in the Legends Class and scored a 4923/5000.

Dan, I'm in Granby CT. Anytime you want to see it, let me know.

I don't have too many pics. I spent a lot of time checking out all of the beautiful cars. Chick's 68. The unrestored Z that was in the Bowtie section was truly amazing. I also spent a lot of time drooling over Martha's 81 Z28. My first car was a 1980 Z/28 and it really brought back a lot of great memories.

I had a great time looking at all of the cars both inside and outside.

Most of the show was spent with hoods up and near the end of the show I asked both owners if they would be willing to put their hoods down so that I could get a picture.

Both owners were really cool and said no problem.
