View Full Version : Heartland Nova show
The wife and I spent the past weekend in Bettendorf, Iowa at the Heartland Nova show. A super venue, lots of cool Novas and the best part, great folks to hang out with.
Here is a pic of the beater we had at the show. A '66 SS, 283/PG, 34,000 miles, buckets, console, etc., one owner (school teacher from Ohio). A nice, solid "survivor" that we drive a lot. We cruised up and down the river front quite a bit while at the show.
The second Ohio car (the other our Deuce) that the Ohio gang has turned us on to.

Great turn out. 114 Novas/chevylls all at the Waterfront convention center in Bettendorf IA. We had cars from Texas, Colorado, North Carolina, Ohio, Ind. and many from Missouri, Ia, IL., and Wis. Jack Druer was there with his outstanding L79, and Larry Christiansen's brother came from Colo. with a beautiful 70 L78 Nova.
Nice cruising along the river to Leclaire to see the home of the Picker, and great shops for the ladies.
Good time, good folks. If your a Nova fan, you need to put it on your do list for next year. Looks like we'll be back at the same venue.

Jack had his 66 L79 right? The 67 L79 was sold I think.

Correct. Jack had the 66. Very nice car, and Jack is a great guy to visit with.
Kwizz, we had plenty of LS motored Chevy lls there. You'd fit right in.
