If I remember right it was cast in oct 68 for a 69 Camaro

Here is one from 2 weeks earlier... The date appears to be gang stamped.

I know strange things happen I do not think it is a restamp the tube has never had any grinding to remove any other numbers. The date looks to be K98 which would be pretty much correct and it still has its 4 series posi case thats why I was wondering if there is any dates on the posi cases to see if its original.

Ive seen rear axle stamps all out of line. I believe its a good stamp.
I don't believe it has a YEAR date, but there will be a day date (3 digits for the day of the year) opposite that casting number.
When you spin it around, those numbers will be upside down.
