This has to be one of very few, burnished brown with painted champagne roof. Anyone have pic of this combination or have seen another? two-tone camaro (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Chevrolet-Camaro-/322190231204?forcerrptr=true&hash=item4b0408c6a4:g :Lv8AAOSwyKxXhUga&item=322190231204)

CRG color estimates suggest total of the 2-tone options amounted to 2.4% of 1969 MY production. There were 6 combinations available. Pure guesswork but I would think the blue shades offered would be more popular, but even assuming each of the 6 combinations was ordered in equal numbers, the 61-63 combo would've equated to 0.4% - about 972 cars.

Interesting car...but, I don't like these 'angry' E-bay ads. It sounds like the guy is yelling at you! <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/dunno.gif

It seems like all these ads have strong and harsh wording...if you choose to use a format like this to sell your car/parts you need to accept there will be a lot of losers and no-show bidders. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/cool.gif

I like the nice friendly ads on the SYC...where the only tough guy is Sammy <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/rolleyes.gif

Funny, I don't remember seeing many (or any, really) 2 tone painted top Camaros throughout the 70's and 80's at all.

i owned a 69 camaro, it was hugger orange with a white painted top..with a houndstooth interior...it had halo moldings and appeared to be a real painted top car...it was still in original paint...but back then...no one cared about the trim tag info on a 327 2bbl glide car...it was just a camaro...that was around 81-ish..i was in high school...i bought it from the original owner...an older woman (prob 40s then..i thought she was ancient) for $300 the trans slipped and she had a brand new 81ish malibu and no one wanted an ORANGE camaro with a hideous interior...i need to think about it and could prob figure out the year..but who cares...

was such a nice car...so clean..and of course i tore it apart and put a 396 and a 4 speed in it..drove it for a few years... i sold it to a buddy and of course he pro streeted it...or started..last i saw it it was behind his mothers house with the floors cut out a ruff 2x4 rear frame and was so screwed up it never made it back to the road..he killed it...just like many of them back then...the pro street movement killed more nice orig cars than you could ever imagine...i was there and saw it..luckily i was neveer a fan..i thought they where stupid...

the only really realy nice one i saw was in around 82-3..the guy that owned a video store in my neighborhood won the Car Craft give away pro street new body Camaro...and it was sooo nice..but stupid..lol

5,909 two-tone cars were built. This has been a published number since the 1980s.

I now own a two-tone '69 Camaro, or I should say it started life as a two-tone. 5350 Glacier Blue w/Dover White painted too and Blue Std. interior. Originally 396/350, 4-speed, X22 it was bought new at Reedman Chevrolet by Bill Izykowski and immediately built into a SS/H race car. 978 original miles.

Hugger Orange was never offered in two-tone.

have no clue what the trim tag said i was 18 it was an orange camaro with a white painted top..had halo moldings...i guess it could have had the top torn off and painted..but the lead line seemed right for a painted car..looked like the car had never been painted or modified.....thats about all i can say....

just sharing a story

On occasion, I see a dealer book that shows a limited number of two-tone pairings, and I think the Camaro was one of them. However, white and black match everything, so I see no reason why Hugger Orange could not be paired with white.

Imagine a white car with orange top!

There were six RPO two-tone combinations offered a '69 Camaro.

Olympic Gold / Dover White
Azure Turquoise / Dover White
Glacier Blue / Dover White
Glacier Blue / Dusk Blue
Dusk Blue / Glacier Blue
Burnished Brown / Champagne

The three white top versions are the 'common' ones. The blue top versions are really scarce - I've seen very few and none had original colors.
Here's a pic of the brown version.
