Vintage Certification is again proud and excited to be a part of the MCACN experience. This is a must attend event. Come Join Us and have your car Vintage Certified at MCACN Nov 19th & 20th in Chicago

Vintage Certification™ is a judging program whose sole purpose is to recognize, provide status, provenance, and promote un-restored (survivor) vehicles. We believe it is the only program that focuses on documenting and benchmarking these cars. Our core certification team consists Brett Merryman, Chris White, Alex Sahely, Frank Badalson, Roger Gibson, Steve Shauger and other marque specialists based on make and model. Each core team member possesses over 30 years experience as restorers, collectors, historians and judges in the hobby. Typically we spend 3hrs examining in detail every segment of your car including the underbody on a lift. To learn more about Vintage Certification visit our website at www.vintagecertification.com (http://www.vintagecertification.com) or the MCACN show at www.mcacn.com. (http://www.mcacn.com) This is the perfect venue to have your vehicle certified. You will be among and exclusive group of enthusiast who participate in this exciting event.

We understand not every original car is 100% untouched, and we offer five levels of certification, based on the originality of the Vehicle.
Vintage Certifications™ five divisions:

Vintage Time Capsule - Vehicles that are 95+% unrestored in all reference areas
Vintage Legend - Vehicles that are 85+% unrestored in all reference areas.
Vintage Heritage - Vehicles that are 85+% unrestored in four reference areas.
Vintage Legacy - Vehicles that are 85+% unrestored in three reference areas
Vintage Reference - Vehicles that are 85+% unrestored in at least one reference area.

Reference Areas: Certification consists of two areas of consideration, Originality and Preservation. Reference areas are as follows:

• Engine Compartment Area

What an incredible lineup...and what an incredible team of Judges! <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/beers.gif

I truly believe this area alone is worth the price of admission to the show. Between the cars and the combined knowledge of the judges and the owners, it will be another truly spectacular year for our MCACN Vintage Certification Program.

Thank you!

Steve, I am honored to be given this opportunity to work with this elite team and fellow Oldsmobile authority Paul Martin. I'm sure I will learn a whole bunch more.

Stephen
This is a great experience you are about to encounter. The opportunity to scrutinise original cars, not just the Oldsmobile's and learn about assembly line practices, plant differences, date differences is truly amazing.
Kudos to Brent and Steve for initiating this program.

I haven't update the list in over a month, but wanted to add to our Pontiac marque a very special car, the last GTO Judge built (1971), and it's a convertible. I've been getting requests for Vintage Certification the last couple of weeks, and unfortunately we are full.

The 71 Judge convert. belongs to the Brothers Collection and I think has about 15K miles. What is really cool is the letter Pontiac sent the owner in 1971 telling him to take good care of it because there was only 17 made, his was the last one and sure to be a collectors item.

There are many reasons to attend the MCACN show. These are certainly some of them!

Thanks go out to all of our 2016 Vintage Certification participants, and of course, our stellar team of Judges.

What Steve did not mention is that in the interest of maintaining our standards and the integrity of the certification program, we have been forced to turn away some truly exceptional cars. Please sign up asap for 2017...see Steve at the show to get the ball rolling to lock in your spot for MCACN #9!

I would like to thank Steve for putting together such a fine program. Getting all these awesome cars (and their owners) together is sometimes harder than herding cats.....yet Steve and his team not only manage to get them all there, but also make the judging an organized, seamless affair.

On behalf of our judging team, we were honored that each owner allowed us to objectively evaluate every aspect of their car. There was a host of spectators that really appreciate the owners for sharing the cars. Many questions were answered and some mysteries solved along with a few new discoveries.

I already have a few cars lined up for next year, so again if you're interested please go to the website: www.vintagecertification.com (http://www.vintagecertification.com)

Jim, Dave and Frank worked tirelessly, well past midnight on Friday and Saturday. A very committed group of Mopar judges!!!!!

Jim, I owe you,and that meal at Carlucci's was incredible. Next year it's on me. Jim Bodanis is one of the really good guys, who's passionate about the hobby and helping others...

Awesome job Steve!

One suggestion I mentioned to you at the show but maybe this is something that can be done for future events:

Is there a way to bring a paint formula scanner to collect and preserve the actual formulation collected from these original paint cars? That would be a great boon to future restorers if we had an exact formula for what the original paint is, and not some paint mixer's opinion of what it was/is.
