I am at the auction. Car sold for 25K and 15% buyers fee to an internet bidder. I believe they said the car was going to Oklahoma. Very little, if any, usable sheet metal. Appeared to be original engine. I am going to forward a pic of the trim tag and vin to Kurt when I get a chance in case it shows up later.

Pace Car was Very Very Rough.. 1953 Corvette did $172,000. But had a reissued Vin #. One Gentleman believes it is a 1954.

Interesting, there was no pics of the pacer and it wasn't on some of the lists.
Was it stored outside?

That's big money on the Vette.

Out of 100+ cars the lone first gen Camaro was the roughest of the bunch. They did not say much about the car so I don't know if it was stored inside. It looked like it had been outside most of it's life and was sagging in the middle.

Too much money for many of the cars. Well publicized and attended auction.

Rumor was one of the family members kept a 67 pace car from the collection.

The 10 mile 89 TurboTA pacer was the one to have...

25K for a rusted heap! Yikes.

He died almost 1 1/2 years ago - and still settling the estate. "He enjoyed collecting first and last edition convertibles." That's an understatement....
