This one ought to go for some good coin. Good colors and the right motor. The paint looks incredibly nice in the pics, and makes me wonder how it actually looks in person.

Lose those dime-a-dozen wheels would be the first thing on the list!

That's not a bad price for a really nice original car even though the vinyl was replaced at one point. Very desirable car.. Surprised it hasn't sold yet..

Even comes with the original wheels and lugnuts! Nice car. First thing I'd do would be to put those Rally Wheels back on with the redlines and toss those Gen-X mags.

----Would this Camaro have come with the open element air cleaner? I ask because of the 67 El Camino out of California that I just bought with a single snorkel on a 396/325......Bill S

I think you'd have to get diff Redlines due to the size, right?

Open element was standard on the big block 67-9 Camaro. Interesting note is the early and mid year 67 bb's had black lids then very late and all 68 had chrome lids.

Red lines that are currently on the car are not the correct size and wrong dia for the rallys..

My 03C '67 LOS L35 has open element with chrome lid (and what look like original decals). Is it correct? A buddy bought a one-owner '67 LOS L35 in 1979, can't remember the build date, and it had a black lid.

I have learned never to say never but from my research and data at this point an 03C would have been a black lid.. But again I have been wrong more than once just today.. lol.. What screen print is under the chrome lid? Do you care to send me some pics of the the lid so I can add it to my info and data?

Yes it needs the rallys or dog dish.

Here's my 03C 396/325 Norwood car original drive train, but restored in 2009. I ran the dog dish and bias ply until last year and added radials and rallys.I like the dog dish better and will be swapping back, but with bias ply redlines.

It's a disc car so to be correct (stock) in should have the DG wheels. Right?

I agree, that car is worth the money if it is what the pictures show it to be.

Thought I'd best give the CA Black Plate #'s from the eBay ad a whirl in the time machine and BINGO...two old newspaper ads from Sept. '78 as below.
If the 2'nd Owner purchased from Original Owner @ 32,000 in 1980, the timeline works perfectly also note 'Orig. cond & owner' in ad text.

$4000 is a lot of coin for that car back in 1978. Most of my local friends thought I paid too much when I bought my '69 Z in 1977 for $2500.

Looks like the real deal to me. 1968's just don't bring the $$$ that 1969's do. I know, I had a numbers matching 1968 396 / 325 A/C TH400 RS / SS Convertible in Grotto Blue with Custom Parchment interior that I did a frame off on and was lucky to get $25,000.00 in 1995. Beautiful Car, but back then if it was a 1969 It would have brought $45,000.00 + Sold it to buy my first ZR-1, but that's another story.

The automatic is holding that car back. And if it is original paint, i would personally look at it before buying. We all know how old lacquer checks, and would have to be stripped to bare metal.

I have thought seriously about this car a couple times, and especially when it's new asking price is 40k. If most of the original paint is still there as indicated, I wouldn't dare think about stripping it down and repainting, but that's just my opinion. I love the survivor stuff.

Yes the auto holds it back some, but I also finally saw where the interior had been repopped which stinks a little. He said in the ad that the original seat covers come with the car. If they aren't too bad I would 10x rather have them back on.

I really like the car too and seriously considered it. But I wouldn't buy it without an inspection to really see what condition it is in. There used to be pictures on the seller's website showing the headliner with two 3 inch by 3 inch squares cut out of it on each side and patched. Not sure what that was about, but they took them down. Makes me wonder what other flaws are not being shown?

I love the guy in the Q&A section trying to buy the car for $20k. Ah the joys of selling your car on Ebay.
