well I was hoping to be posting pictures and asking for help ID'ing my 9561 sadly it was bought out from under me,but I'm still curios what you guys think of this possible 9561 Camaro,i was looking through a local on line sale page (like craigslist) and I came across this ad for a 1969 Camaro roller that has been sitting in the original owners broken down garage for 40 years, this seller says he got it from the original owners family after he passed away for helping them sell all the dead guys stuff, anyway that's what he claims!I was supposed to look at and probably buy it weds but he called last night and said he was just offered $2000 above his asking price and the guy bought it as soon as he saw it! I was told it had a blown up 427 that this guy sold along with an M21 trans that was also gone already! It is an X44 hugger orange, factory 4 speed, power disc brake, factory cowl hood car with a 4.56 12 bolt, and a big block heater box! it cam with NMW tow tabs and pins, free wheeling hubs and a tow bar, does anyone have any info on this car or maybe one of you guys bought it? man I'm so pissed!

Why would you wait until Wed to go and buy that? As soon as I read the ad, I would be headed there with cash and a trailer.

Might as well find a nice clean body and build yourself a clone.

They are out there. I found my '70 LS6 Chevelle on eBay. Super rare fully optioned one of one car and was sold to me as a roller. I discovered that it was a real LS6 and it still had build sheet on tank.
As I was reading this thread I noticed the car in discussion is almost a twin to my Funston car. They both have 711 interior, 72 paint code, X44 and build 05C.. My body number is 2415 units behind his but my Vin number is 664 units ahead of his...

well as you guys may recall I missed out on the hugger orange 69 9561 camaro a couple of years ago and as I have said that was the closest I would ever come to owning a copo camaro so the next best thing is a 9561 forgery, this 1969 427, M21 4 speed,4.11 12 bolt, chambered exhaust car will have to do!

Nice looking ride, and this way you built it as you would have bought it in 69!

Love the color, now get out there and beat the hell out of it. The polyglas tires leave real nice signatures on road

Sorry to hear that. I missed a 1969 10 10 l78 Camaro in 1978. and a 1969 72 72 Yenko in 1984 and have never really gotten over it. Know how you feel.

Thanks guys! And I have tested those polyglass tires out a few times! Car is a fun car to drive and runs pretty good, I can't Believe nobody here has seen or heard anything about the hugger orange car in my original post, the buyer bought it sight unseen and instantly offered more money then it was advertised for! Must have known just what it was.

I never posted this picture the seller sent me from the orange 69 Camaro that I missed out on but yet more clues that it was a legit car, he sent me this picture but also stated the M21 was sold with the blown up 427 motor! sorry for beating a dead horse but Im still sick over this deal!
