Finally got the car out on a nice day and shot these photos. The Chevelle is documented with build sheets , Protect O Plate and the sales contract. It has had a body off restoration and is matching born with engine , transmission , rear end , carburetor and alternator. The distributor is being rebuilt and will be installed. This is my first Chevelle , I really like A bodies . Thanks ! You guys have a fantastic site here and it is great to look at all the Yenkos!

----Scott,,,Please don't take this the wrong way, because I like what I think I see. Did you paint the SS wheels body color? Your beautiful SS would be one of the few 70s that this would work on.....Bill S

Bill, the wheels on the tricentennial cars were painted gold from what I recall...there's a note on the build sheet with special instructions. Good eye!

How long have you had it and was it restored already when you got it?
ScottG
09-24-2016, 12:05 AM
The guy I bought it from got it in 1999 from the original owner. He had it restored , finished in 2010. It was driven 65 miles and I bought it on Ebay about 3 months ago. I have been making it more original since I got it. So , all Ebay stories do not have a bad ending !

Ron, I was going to ask you a stupid question also , until I saw that you own a 1972 Satellite Plus , bad ass ride my man,.....
<span style="font-weight: bold">I definitely could of chose my words better when I posted. It just bugs me when I see a car being resold so quickly. There is NO disputing the quality of your car but I'd rather see it loved and kept than resold.

There is always another car out there that is better than the one you have now. Trading up is the American way. Trying to get a Stage 1 Buick .
I'll assume a 70 Stage ! would be what your after. It's the 70 SS of the Buick line-up. I used to own a 71 hardtop triple Black.

WOW !! That is really nice !! WOW !! Yes , 1970 to 1972 Stage 1 GS is what I am looking for. My first mechanic's job after Vocational School was a Buick Dealership. I would take that GS with no problem at all !!

<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/beers.gif A whole bunch of great options. BUT , Manual drum brakes ..
]Manual drum is a down side but, convert to power disc with factory parts if it's the right car. Had to add that to a 69 Coronet R/T I used to own, it had everything I wanted except that so without selling original pieces I made the conversion.
