Just thought I would share with you my new edition. This was/is a Bronco converted at Kar Kraft by Bill Stroppe for Bunkie Knudsen. The intent of the build was to show Bunkie what a performance street model of the Bronco would be like. At Kar Kraft, the truck was modified with Stroppe parts and had a 351W and automatice added. As you know, the truck never made it to production, and this prototype sat at KK until it's closing and eventually leaked out. It has remained anonymous until just a few weeks ago w/o it's provenience following it owner to owner.

It's not a black & white photo.
Cool Bronco. Congrats on the purchase.

I think the point was there is a difference in the stripes between the two photos ...

No disrespect intended your way either. Sorry if it came across that way. I know the picture seems to have faded somewhat over the years but maybe the original color was not so vivid of a yellow as it is currently.
I love the old Broncos, they're such a great style.

The truck wears its original paint. The lighting and aging of the early photo is giving it a lighter appearance. And yes, the stripe has been altered from how it was originally applied on the truck.
Interestingly, I have another photo of this truck at KK. That photo has a the same stripe as the historic photo, but has the phrase "Boss Bronco" across it.

According to Kar-Kraft employees, Bill Stroppe came up to Detroit to personally work on this prototype. As you can see, many Stroppe touches were added. The 351W and auto transplants really reminds me of what Don Yenko was doing before things were handled at Chevrolet.

Here the truck is on Fran Hernandez accomplishment list.

If you're unfamiliar with what vehicles all went through the Kar-Kraft facilities your in luck. Next June a book will be coming out on Kar-Kraft and its many projects. Cars that will be covered will be:
MkIV and GT40
Trans Am Boss 302s
LID Mustang
Composite Mustangs (1/4 Horse, 2 built)
Boss Bronco (my truck)
Production Talladegas
Production Cyclone Spoiler II's
Production Boss 429 Mustangs
Production Boss 351s
Boss 429 Cougars (3 total)
Car & Driver Boss 302 (Brock Yates)
Boss Mavericks (302, 429)
Ferguson 4-wheel Drive Mustangs & Fairlanes
Mach 2 concept car
Bunkie Knudsens personal Talladega
Smokey Yunicks Boss 302
G7A Can Am car
Supe Sno Sport 429
And about 15 other projects that you can Google all day and not find a single word or their mention anywhere. Honestly, what on that list doesn't get your juices flowing even on a Chevrolet forum!
