Well, I hope you guys are proud of yourselves. I was just telling my grandson, Brian how his great great grandmother came to this Country from Quebec in 1912, and settled in New England, the same year Fenway opened. The Red Sox became her &quot;connection&quot; to the new country.
She became a life long Red Sox fan, and passed that disease on to my father. Dad passed it on to me. My Dad lived his whole life never seeing the Sox win a series. He died in 1998, after four bouts with cancer over a 14 year period (he spent a year in Japan after the bombs, and was exposed to all that radiation). Anyway, my little French Canadian grandmother (that's right, Brian's great great grandmother) flew to Oklahoma for my dad's funeral. She was a few months shy of 98. She wept when I told her that his last words to me were: &quot;Did the Sox win today?&quot;

Since I am in the middle of the state I don't get too excited about the pro sports teams. But I've tried to listen to the Browns on the radio the last three weeks while I was harvesting, and after about 10 minutes I just have to change it

Bill the commentators, well one in particular, is quite nauseating.. I can't listen to them on the radio either.. So you get it from both ends, the Browns stink and so does the radio coverage...

I remember like it was yesterday, when the Yankees won in 1996. Everyone was saying how long it had been since they last won it all! That was 18 years. I can't imagine the joy in Chicago after that drought!

The Best World Series I have ever seen. I have been a long time Cub Fan since 1972. My Heart bleeds for all those Cub fans that never got to see what we all witnessed last night. That rain storm that stopped the game was Devine Intervention. If anyone of you have never ever been to Wrigley Field.....you must go. It is a TRUE piece of heaven. Put it on your Bucket List!

I am amazement that the came back from 1-3 I didnt think it was possible but I was hopeful
My father used to take me to Wrigley and I remember the last time we went, he was buying the beers and we enjoyed the day. Of course back then they were just the Cubs, not great, just the Cubs
