I love the hose clamps hanging the exhaust from the gas tank straps. Would make me nervous about what other creative solutions might have come about in 95k miles. Interesting car, hopefully he will get the trim tag and motor information and add them to the ad.

Engine is a 325 hp. I could see the price if it was 375 hp, maybe closer to 50,000.

How do you know it's a 325hp? Tach would suggest either 325hp or 350hp.

Tony, you're correct. I was looking at the tach and forgot about the 350 hp. I just took a slightly uneducated guess. I figured it would be 325hp as it was more used.

Could be...I guess at this point who knows? I can't believe the seller didn't even verify the engine hp before putting it up for sale. Red flag, in my opinion....

Didn't the 325 have a QJ and the 350 a Holley?

No both the 325 & 350 Horsepower 396's had QJ Carbs in 1969, only the L-78 & L-89 had Holleys. Though back in 1966 & 1967 that was a different story.

OK -- that is what I was basing that on. My 67' Chevelle SS had a Holley but I can't remember if it was rated at 350 or 360 HP. TAZ <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/dunno.gif

I don't think this is a new find. This warehouse was mentioned many years ago on another board and had pictures of quite a few Camaro's on lifts. IIRC, this was the nicest one. The price was too high then, and still is. First time on ebay though. Maybe the owner will get realistic with the price after a few real offers. Time is running out and he will never get to restore them all, if any.

The 360hp L-34 was a 1966 only engine option and had the Holley. In 1967 the HP rating was dropped to 350hp and still had the Holley. Starting in 1968 all the low horse motors had a QJ...Holley was only on the L78.

Also on chevelles, in at least 66 the L35 325 hp had a Holley for the first part of the year before changing over to the quadrajet. We have a 66 L35 from the original owner that came with the Holley.

At least they got the car under it out so it can be lowered for good pics. Still a lot of work for a CE 396. Still no trim tag or vin pics :(

Not a bad project at all to start out with by the looks of it. Looks pretty solid and original over all. This is definitely one of the ones that was discussed with a bunch of other irons all piled on top of one another.

ice project @ the right money 30-40k...................That would mean you would be into the car done for almost 6 figures without an original motor or paperwork.

What the what?!? Massive price reduction to $28,500. Guessing it sells this time around. Weird trim tag, too...export car? Would be fun to run the NCRS report on this one...bet it was invoiced to the Overseas Division.
