Latches painted?

Ok perfectos -- in photos I've seen this both ways. On the 71' Nova -- are the door latches and attach screws painted body color or some other color? Thanks for the vector ... TAZ <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/dunno.gif

On camaro's the screws and latch were installed when painted. But i think it looks better with the latch and screws not painted.
