Once again, hats off to the promoters and organizers of this show. Another full venue of the best-of-the-best. It was great to run into so many of the good guys from this hobby.

Looking forward to next year's show.

Hats off to the crew this year. I pulled into the staging lot at 3:30 on Thursday and at 4:56 I was texting Annie that I was checking into the hotel with the car set up in the show and the truck and trailer parked in the marshaling lot. Sunday night I went to get my truck and trailer and move it to a side street around 4:30 and by 5:40 I was southbound. An all time record!!! Last year I head nothing but complaints, this year I did not hear a single one from anybody.

As usual the show was fantastic. I say every year they cannot improve on it yet every year they do.

The restored Judge convert used to belong to Dave Christenholz and was just re restored. The other was is one the Brother's Collection bought a year ago that is I'm sure the best unrestored 71 Judge convert out there. Was a unknown car that we got from the second owner's family. He had died in I think 1989 and the car has just been sitting in the garage. 15K miles. During Vintage certification the Judges' were astounded how orig. it is. It even has letters from Pontiac dated 1971 telling to owner to take care of it as it is the last of the 17 built, the last Judge built and the last convert. built. Also tells the owner to maintain it in pristine condition as it is sure to appreciate in value. I know of no other car maker that had that foresight to know it would become a collector car. In 1971 none of these were collector cars but Pontiac predicted this one. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics/usergals/2016/11/full-23-52400-img056.jpg

Boys,

Hats off to Bob and ALL who work on this show. You all need to be congratulated!

The drive was great, the weather was fantastic and it was all topped off by the Greatest Car Show going.

We truly enjoyed ourselves again.

Thanks

I was right Charley., The one with the rallys and chrome mirror is Tom Lanes unrestored car. He sold it in 1977-78 in Hemmings for $17k.

Why would you expect anything less than perfection from MichaelAngelo? <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/Can-I-Have-It.gif

No surprise if that 1 Hemmings ad sold it,cause I don't see it any of the months before or after that month in '77.

I remember that car being advertized all over the place back in the late 1970's (I was in high school at the time and read every car magazine there was). I think he even advertised it in the back pages of Hot Rod too. Everyone thought that $17,500 was an insane price to ask for a GTO at the time.

...the same people though $25,000 was way too much to pay for the yellow and white 1971 hemicuda convertible I bought in 1985. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/naughty.gif

up Steve. I was in 10th grade in 77 and also remember how everyone thought he was nuts asking this crazy price for a 71 Judge.. Now decades later, we see he was ahead of the curve on prices
