I was mocking up my LT-1 short
block to degree some cams when I decided to throw a 243 LS6 head on the block. Looks like belongs there! I heard of dart or someone making a Gen 1 block to accept the LS1/LS6 heads. This could make some good power with the corresponding intake and cam.

Has anyone done this?

Other than having a bunch of old style parts you want to use over again I think you would be much better off with a LS block for the bottom end.

I think the front drive dizzy is better. Tell you what, if my son (who is 6 right now) ends up with a Fox body Mustang- it is gonna take a lot of convincing for me not to want to run an LS in it. They are the most highly evolved pushrod V8 and really look at home (aka look like a Ford motor).
Pic for example http://i710.photobucket.com/albums/ww101/Plowman7/PxTx/Mustang/20140618_164256_zps1vl8vw13.jpg (http://s710.photobucket.com/user/Plowman7/media/PxTx/Mustang/20140618_164256_zps1vl8vw13.jpg.html)

ive used the front drive dist stuff, and its freakin' expensive...looks like any standard chevy dist works in the hybrid block
