Goodmark has a nice bumper set for 68-72 Nova since the re-tooling. You may want to check with them on the Camaro quality level.
Cost a little more, but re-chroming an original is still best.... IMHO

I heard several people happy with a chrome shop in Tennessee. I am sure the guy told me they don't use a copper layer but people liked the job. He had bumpers of popular cars and would swap you too. Tri city plating maybe? Price wasn't bad

I have a NOS one with debris in the chrome, a rag actually snags it if you wipe on it. It is a perfect core. It is yours for the shipping if interested ?
I used Keystone plating on the Orange COPO several years ago and they were perfect. They charged $640 for 2 and I dropped them at a body shop where they PU and deliever, so no shipping.

Sammy: If you can wait, I will be the guinea pig on this deal and ship my bumper to Tri City on Monday. They quoted me $300 plus shipping, but that was two years ago. Most guys that look at my car think I am nuts to have it re-chromed, but I can see the scratches and flaws, and there is even one tiny dent. I will take before and after pics to document the whole process. That green Z of yours shouldn't have anything less. If mine comes out as nice as everyone says, you can follow suit. Only reason to go repop in my opinion is if you just don't have a core.... and can't find one.
BTW "good repop" = oxymoron.

I have never seen a NOS one that wasn't as you describe, Mike. BITD, I bought one from the Chev. dealer. I took it back and exchanged it no less than 3 times. I finally gave up and just kept it.

Tri Cities does great work. They took every dent and blemish out of mine.
