Any recommendations for someone in central n.j. To rebuild and restore a t400 trans from a 70 Monte Carlo? Thanks. Jeff

Sorry I'm no help as I am not local I would contact a trans shop and get a bench job and clean the exterior of the case myself, detail or maybe detail after its built if they tank the maincase. just a suggestion

I have a good guy here in NY...gave him a call when I saw your post. He does all our tranny work...he has worked on a number of the big block cars with TH400's and does great work. He is also my go to guy for our daily drivers.
We are about 2hrs north of NYC...I realize that's not around the corner, but if you can't find someone closer, let me know and I'll make the connection.

No help... Just a comment....
I really want to find a good TH400 core to build. I've rebuilt Muncies and rear axles, but never an auto trans. It's just something I always wanted to learn. I have a home for a TH400 if I ever find a core at a decent price (Dad's Chevelle)
I must be sick in the head, as I like taking on new projects and working on the cars more than showing / driving them. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/smile.gif
