The ad is a bit misleading. .Warren is not the " sole survivor" there are at least 4 of us left..I just checked my pulse to be sure.

Great response:-)

What did you do back in the day?

Same sales person (D' Arrigo) that sold Clyde Krug his RG X11 4 speed 427...for only $850.00 more

Ryan, I was just a shop rat..doing whatever was needed..just happy to be there. John D'arrigo died several years ago after a long career with another dealer. Joe Jakovic was very successful selling the hipo cars as well.

I dig the Yenko signature "Fat-Grip" GSX steering wheel still in it.

I agree , also wonder about the claims
"Don Yenko installed all of his Remaining parts from his Stormer program"

"original Atlas/Cragar magnesium wheels"

not sure about those items but nice to have a Z from Yenko Chev

I am familiar with this car..the Stormer parts referred to sat on the shelf after only 2 cars were built instead of the 6 planned for. Headers, cam and misc. parts. A friend owned this car for years..had Warren freshen the engine a few years ago.Sold it and 2 other Camaros to focus on his Corvette collection.

I liked the seller's use of 'original'... (J/K).. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/smile.gif

"This car is completely original. We even have the original time slips from Atco and Pittsburgh race tracks."

If that car is 'completely original', then I doubt there's a car in existence that statement couldn't be used with... <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/smile.gif Obviously a VERY nice car, and most of us would love to have it, but 'original'.. certainly doesn't mean 'factory original' in this case as there are many modifications (perhaps all made by Yenko's shop), but that should be clarified in a honest ad.

I DID like the wheels (Are they really magnesium?).. I've never seen a set of those before, but it seems obvious that those wheels were the inspiration for the later 1970-78 steel SS/Z28 wheels produced by GM. Those wheels must be very rare... Does anyone here have a set? <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/smile.gif

I searched on ebay and did find a pair of 14x6 Cragar magnesium wheels for a Ford, but nothing in 15x7 for Chevy...

Gary..the Atlas wheels were a cross between Americans and Cragars..cast by a local foundry in aluminum. A Yenko solution to buying over the counter and also having something uniquely Yenko.

The wheels on this car are Cragar GT's..BKH

Thanks Markus.. so they were not cast in magnesium! ... another 'misleading' statement in the ad. I had never noticed the similarity in 'looks' between a Cragar (always seen the chrome S/S ones), and the 70's GM steel SS/Z28 wheel before seeing these wheels. I suppose if you could somehow strip off the chrome from the center section of a Cragar and paint that center gray, you could simulate the look of these.. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/smile.gif

Even though not magnesium, I would imagine these are fairly rare wheels? Or do you see some up in 'yenko territory'??

Yes, they seem to be as I found some identical wheels FS on ebay... but again in 14x6 size...

Also looks to have been ordered with a radio, though in the auction sales description says radio delete and has the plate in place.

Great looking car, would love to have it.

Restored Cragar GT for 1968 DANA Camaro. I have never seen a Yenko ad or order form showing the use of Cragar wheels. Atlas and Motorwheels I have seen. Not saying they didn't use them on customer cars, just I have never seen it..BKH

Of course with all the 'dealer modified' new cars (Yenko, Baldwin, etc), that dealer could install anything the customer wanted to pay for (that the dealer agreed to and could get)...

Anybody know what it brought?

I was watching the internet feed and from what I could see when the car was on the block was that it bid up to $175k but it did not sell at that time.

I doubt there were any real bids near the 175 but that kinda gives you a idea of what reserve must have been.
