I am creating a 68 Yenko tribute car. I have my fiberglass Yenko hood and the car is ready for paint. My question is if anyone's knows what the material was, or should be, used on the underside of the hood? Should I paint it to match the top side of the hood or use that "rubber undercoating" ?
Any info or opinion is appreciated.

I would not advise you use rubber undercoating which may be very flammable.
paint it black or body color whichever you prefer

there was at one time someone selling the repo 140 mph speedo's - might even been attempted to sell then as originals etc....BUT, it has been quite a while since i have seen any come up.....maybe 10 yrs .
from an original you can have a new silk screen made.....i think?

I think some speedo restorers can convert an original to 140. Also, I thought you could use a 68 Firebird 400 speedo....not sure about that, though.

I got my hood from one of the big parts guys and the underside was very nice and smooth - so we refinished even more and painted it with the typical 1613 satin black look for a nice finish.
i don't know the color of your car, but i would not paint it the same color underneath - unless that is your thing.....JMO :-)
