This Camaro is a beautiful car but there are a few things that don't appear to be original like your ad states...power steering pump is not original, rear bumper guards are not present which all 69 Z28's had, and the steering wheel appears to be a re pop....diameter is larger than an NOS steering wheel...still, all in all a very nice car. "steering wheel appears to be a re pop....diameter is larger than an NOS steering wheel"
That style steering wheel is a "Yenko" item. It was an option in the 1970 Yenko Deuces. Same steering wheel as used in the Buick GSX.

Looks like someone added part of the Z-21 Exterior Style Trim Group: bright wheel opening moldings and headlight bezel accents, but didn't add the bright drip moldings, black body sill or taillight accents. All of which were only standard on X33 trim cars.
No center clock or fuel gauge either?

Fuel gauge is there as plain as the nose on my face!

Sorry...meant as center dash insert between gauges? The stock dash has fuel gauge (right) instead of Factory 8K tach and that's not Z/28 issue. I doubt Yenko would have removed the factory tach to add the chrome cup? Starting to see a few anomalies here. Someone needs to take a good look at this car.

Tach was optional....if no tach was ordered gas gauge was on the right and speedo was on the left...center was pluged with Camaro insert...so the dash on this car appears correct.

Was this car early enough for that to be an option? Late 69 Z/28's required a tachometer (via either U16 or U17) but I'm not sure when that started.

I have owned 2 May cars. One with a D55 console option with gauges and included the dash mounted tach, and the other was not a console car but came with mandatory tach. Again not sure when that option started but both my 05A cars had them and they were not optioned on the GM Canada build sheets. FWIW

Chevrolet made U16 or U17 mandatory with Z/28 as of January 2, 1969. On February 11 dealers received notification from the Zone that U16 was "delayed for an undetermined period of time" and that current Z/28 orders must specify D55 and U17. The shortage must have been resolved during March as cars built 04A have U16.

The factory said gauges were required, but with the U16 supply issue, it wasn't implemented until May.
The first documented U16 car that I know is also May.

Enlighten me here, why is this one of one? Yenko Chevrolet was a Dealer of all new Chevrolets, surely they sold more than one 1969 Z-28. I get this is documented and low miles but I'm sure there are other Yenko Z-28's. Am I missing something here?

Yes Yenko sold other Z28s but this is the only one that I know of that is documented with his performance upgrades. If someone can prove otherwise this is the only 69 z28 documented with Real yenko docs and the performance over the counter reciept.

As I recall parts left over from the Stormer program were put on this car.I think Warren Dernoshek rebuilt the engine several years ago for a previous owner.
