I think it will sell for $15k as absurd as that sounds. The distributor alone has to be a $1500ish piece. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/smile.gif

The seller does a pretty thorough job of obscuring the VIN and body numbers. I'm guessing this will end up being a rebody but I suppose someone with more ambition than me could get the original body back into shape....

wow, I wouldn't know where to start with that one. The drivetrain is the only thing that would make me want to try to save it. That thing is a wreck!

you can only save the skeleton and the rest would be reproduction or NOS.

Honestly, its easier to prove a car is real, especially a 1968 Z28, when they're in as found condition like this one. When the car is freshly restored with no "before pics", questions are always raised if it's real or not. 1968 Z28, 70 LS6, any 68-70 L78 car. 1969 COPO Camaro. Anything where true docs and as found photos and or owner history prove what it really is. Plus, like said above, some people just like a challenge or want to save a car.

Yes, agree with Matt but saving this one is a stretch. And, I'm also a '68 Z owner...but this one is so far gone that you'd have to have a $100k+ car when you were finished to come out OK.

About the value of the parts really. At least someone will have a numbers car when done if they can save the body.

It would be interesting to see if the buyer on the 68 Z is also the buyer on this 68 that came from the factory one week later, four speed, also Rally Green. It isn't a great start, but there is certainly more of it that is useable. And, any body parts that still had date codes would match up. I waited until both auctions were over, just to be sure I didn't give some scum bag the idea.

And, seller already removed the tags.
