----If any of these bids are real then someone (maybe more than one person) is putting a car together. The engine is there, the tags are there and there are a few decent parts, but obviously, this lump wont be restored.

----Its also probable that someone has a nice blue 63 coupe that has bad #s.....Bill S

Not sure what is more shocking: bid is up over $25k, or that the RESERVE HAS NOT BEEN MET!!!

I don't see 25k there.. I don't even see 2,500 .. Looks like it was hit by a freight train

This is what a train can do.....

I wonder if someone has a stolen car and would swap out the tags.

With what 1963 Splits are bringing these days.... I don't think a numbers matching rough project like this is out of line. They just aren't out there anymore.

If I had my choice, although 63 is the only coupe vette I would want, I think I'd rather have the 63 vert. project that's on ebay now than this heap !!... atleast it's all there with mostly original paint still..

The reserve not being met is something I have heard of people using....put an absurdly high reserve on the item, and if it miraculously sells at that, you don't care and are willing to pay eBay their exorbitant fees....if it doesn't sell, you get in touch with the bidders and 'make other arrangements' <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/naughty.gif

More like, it was a very original car until it left the showroom floor.
