I know the car and the owner and both are top notch. Guy helped me in the early 80s on my first cross ram Camaro and he has been a wealth of information on early Camaros.

Guy also was smart enough to order and purchase a new 1972 ZR1 Corvette. He felt that it would be the last "Real" muscle car that Chevrolet would produce. From the day he bought it, until its sale about 6 or 7 years ago, the car had accumulated just over 200 miles.

The article says he ordered JL8, but then says he added it via service parts......

I would imagine the owner has the build sheet and docs on the car if he ever wants to substantiate the cars pedigree? Love the color and the RS option, but always read these magazine write ups with a grain of salt as the stories always seem to embellish things one way or another.
Would love the see this one in person some day.

----Kurt,,,I took that to mean that he bought extra JL8 stuff, but I could be wrong......Bill S

As the above Super Chevy article details (written by Carpenter brother Curley), the car was indeed "restored" quite extensively and painstakingly in the late 70s and early 80s, using GM parts.

That's real cool and adds a lot more to the testament of the car and it's lineage.
Thanks for that Tracker

I'm really liking Lemans Blue. I recently got a lead on an LB COPO find that I am now talking to the current owner about. Hoping to go see it soon and possibly buying it from him. We just started discussions last week but it's Lemans Blue and I've always wanted one in that color.
Nice car Tracker

Very cool car indeed. When you read the story in Super Chevy and the internet feature story on the car, it quickly becomes evident that these brothers obviously had means (read $$$$$) that most car guys back in the day did not.
