I found a pair of 15x10 Cragar S/S mags yesterday. They have a 3-3/4" backspace.
I noticed the date of 4-72 which is April of 1972 and they still have the straight through lugs. I was thinking they were making unilug by then but apparently not.
I know it's been discussed but it appears most of the Day 2 threads are gone.......or at least I don't see then anymore.

Neat! What did Firestone have to do with these?

Kurt, at the bottom of the page (before you click on a specific thread) look at "display options" default only shows a month back. click the drop down and select "from beginning". That will let you see all the threads. Hope that helps. I have a pair of 15X4 Cragars with Firestone stamped in them. I've wondered why myself. Maybe they contracted with them for a year or so or, maybe Cragar did what Harley did with AMF for a while to avoid going out of business.

I have read Firestone made the hoops and also was told by Cragar rep on FB Firestone back in the day had lifetime guarantees on their wheels and they bought enough so Cragar stamped Firestone in the hoop so they could distinguish them in case of warranty.
