Does the VIN # on the block match a car that is in the registry?

No

That makes it worth significantly less IMO, unless you can find the car it was born with. Good luck!

Parts4, The problem is by posting this in hopes to find the car, you run the risk of dimishing the value and buyers when you dont . Everyone likes to think they are going to find the car themselves thats why theyd take a shot at it for good money. I was your buyer at around 7K two days before this posted when we spoke . Hopefully the gamble pays off for you. Good Luck with it. Good piece

I'd surely be 110% positive on the MN stamp and any associated numbers before I did anything else. I remember not long ago, there was a BBC high-dollar engine for sale at a big number, and the stamp or date, or casting number was determined to be counterfeit. I'm not saying your's is, just saying check and verify. Maybe another missing Supercar has been "found".

Carnut4, just because there is no car in the registry with a matching vin to the engine means didely squat.

Tell that to all the COPO owners out there missing their original MN engine, myself included. If the car the engine belongs to is known to exist it's worth more in my opinion, if you don't agree frankk that's fine, its just my opinion. Hopefully the car will be found someday?

If it's for sale, you're doing a big disservice to this website, and to yourself for not posting it in the proper PARTS FOR SALE section.

I tried to help this guy and he would not provide the entire vin number...I have owned several of these cars and I wasn't looking to buy it but only to help possibly find the car. I guess since he cannot trust anyone ....I prefer not to help him .

I also have a TO423MN and was trying to help him and compare . I even offered his cars production date.... because I did an NCRS on my motor.

Doug, sounds like your help might be falling on deaf ears. If the guy isn't a member then he doesn't know the caliber of people on this site. If he joins and offers the engine, I think some of the stronger buyers may, at this time, have lost interest or their offer has changed (and for good reason).
