Wow, that is a very attractive car and the wheel/tire size is perfect. Western civilization most likely peaked with the creation of the Cragar S/S.

4 pics max per post or that token thing pops up.
Nice score on the car Mike. Plans for this one?

Its not necessarily that 4 pics max per post but it takes into consideration the size of the files also. Try to reduce the file size and upload one at a time and see how many you can upload then post.

Would love to see some engine shots.
Interior looks like deluxe door panels with standard seats?
mike1971
04-26-2017, 10:46 PM
Not original Motor guys. And the 67 's are a new breed to me so please fill me in on the interior. Everything appears to be old and original. I think it has the deluxe seat belts. So maybe at some point in its life the seats were changed? What are thoughts?
rafbody
04-27-2017, 12:52 AM
It does have deluxe door panels with standard seats. The deluxe seats would have a white stripe. What is the interior code on the cowl tag?
mike1971
04-27-2017, 01:23 AM
760-Z is the Code. STD buckets. So I'm guessing someone put deluxe door panels and seat belts? Or was the belts an option in 67?
rafbody
04-27-2017, 01:33 AM
5Y on the cowl tag.

The seats are correct and original. There are 3 option levels on the interior. This car has the mid. Deluxe everything except seats.
Its on the Trim Tag.

Its on the Trim Tag.
I would not agree with that summation.
There are 2 levels of interior in all 3 years - standard and deluxe. You could also add some interior accents via Z23.
http://www.camaros.org/interior.shtml#CustomSpecialInterior
The door panels are incorrect for the car - they only came with deluxe interiors.
bigsixman
05-07-2017, 05:00 AM
I agree with Kurt's opinion on the interior, standard or deluxe, no mid level seats or door panels.
L78steve
05-08-2017, 01:12 PM
Kurt are you stating that the door panels were not installed at the factory?
When the car came out of storage the interior was never out of the car. The door panels were removed for the first time when the car was stripped and repainted.
There is another anomaly that no one has picked up on yet on the doors.
You have to take into account when this car was built, The last day of 67 production. Only 1 owner and 5600 miles it was not messed with.

The 3 interior levels I'm referring to are 1)Base. 2)Z23 Interior decor Group. 3)Z87 Deluxe.
This car has the 2) Z23 as indicated on the trim tag.

Kurt S. was referring to the upholstery. The trim tag show standard so the seats are correct but the door panels have been changed to deluxe, so there's a mis-match. Z23 didn't include deluxe door panels.

I understand this now. I'm stating the car came from the factory with these panels. I was wrong when I stated Deluxe everything except seats.

I understand that the deluxe door panels had to have a different door regulator. Longer shank to fit the deluxe door panel. It is very hard if not impossible to use the regular door regulator on a deluxe door panel. If this correct then they had to swap them out for a correct fit.
L78steve
05-08-2017, 08:04 PM
I know of no difference (in 67) between regulators but the door release shaft is drilled and tapped for the lever. No horseshoe clip used on Deluxe door lever.

I have an 07C car and by the vin was most likely built the last day of production as well. It has 760-Z interior and the door panels are the correct, standard door panels.

I went up and looked at the car a few weeks ago, The door panels appear to be original
panels and anything is possible...
The panels are original including the fenders, the pinch welds and spots are perfect and assembly line dated for the car, there is no pitting or thin edges.
Really an extremely nice body with extremely nice fit and finish.
