Did only festival pace cars have the delivery date stamped on the vin tag from the factory. I looked at a pace car awhile ago, but i did not buy it. The NCRS came back as chevrolet Milwaukee Zone. Any ideas if this could have been a festival car?

Quite a few 0-1 cars went directly to dealers. The body number spread is a better general predictor of zone 025 shipment. This can be verified through the NCRS shipper report.
037 and 047 stamped on the VIN is another indicator of potential track usage.

Many other 67's have the date embossed on the VIN tag, both coupes and convertibles.

I will have to check to see if i wrote down the embossed date on the vin tag. I thought only festival cars got embossed dates. Maybe the car i looked at was delievred to the milwaukee zone office to take to dealers to get orders for the pace cars?

I'll take it that was my official invite for the 67 pace car to come to Mcacn this year. I'll have 3 cars going down this year already but I could make it 4 cars I'm sure. The way I look at it is the more 1st gen Camaros there the better!

I have an autographed, framed poster of A.J. Foyt, who won his 3rd 500 mile race that year. Not hijacking this thread, but I'm thinking of selling it. It would look cool standing next to the car!

Not real good at posting pictures as you can tell. Pretty sure this is 24"x30" and I have a letter of authenticity.

btw, they are not stamped, they are embossed from the backside, just like the VIN.
