6 point roll bar?

Hey fellas, quick question....In what year did they start using the 6 point roll bar? I have a Lakewood 3 point bar I was going to run but unfortunately anything faster than 11.40 needs an actual " cage" and it would need a 6 point bar. Hopefully it should go mid to low 10's with the 427. Thanks!

Not early 70's correct but if you have to run it you have to run it. I have seen a lot of 4 point roll bars early 70's

Around 75-76 is when I started to see the 6 point in magazines by companies like Alston.
