May I make a suggestion? Some guys on here have Ford parts laying around, yet their main thrust is another make, like Mopar or Chevy. I do anyway. Putting a part number up does not help a guy like me. If you put up a picture and even describe what it was found on, that would help. You never know? I have Ford friends (don't let this out, please) and i may have seen this part on their parts shelf. I am less likely to chase down something, although I love helping others, if I don't even know what I am looking for, other than a part number. And this advice is for all on here. Apologies, no intention of hijacking the topic, so if anyone comments, start a new thread on this topic. thanks.

See pictures, and especially post number 11.

There are also different paper colors for the filter paper for perfectionists.

FA-47 is a Motorcraft part number I believe. It's been OOP for a while. Oval filter, 2" tall. There's a number of other similar aftermarket pieces out there, but most are 1.75" or 2.25" or even 3" tall. The washable ones, however you feel about them (ala K&N) look wrong. I hope you find one:)

And, to the point of my original comment, it is good to have as many eyes looking as possible. a couple of months ago , one of my Ford friends went to a all Ford swap. He calls me there and describes these wheels for a Chevy that were there, as we had just discussed desirable wheel sizes for both Makes (Chev-Ford). When he says XT, I said bingo! He snagged them for me. Just one example. I was just at a show where a guy had a SOHC, so I'll ask in my circles.
