Not really my cup of tea, but if it were a factory stick Malibu I'd be all over it. Pretty rare car.

I ran across a '79 Olds Cutlass Calais in a local yard that was factory 4-speed with the same color combo.

My grandfather had a 1979 Malibu wagon with a 267 and a 4 speed, he traded it in for a 1984 Dodge Caravan.

I love the stick '78-'80 intermediates. Always have ever since my childhood neighbor brought home a '78 305/4-speed Malibu coupe when I was 5 or 6. Seemed so out of place for such a 'normal' looking car!

Cool car!
I've talked to the owner of this car several times, (he's a Grand Am collector and nice guy), about this car over the past few years. It looks like he's finally ready to sell. I really like this car, but the reality is between the rust, interior and whatever mechanical needs it has, will require a committed effort to restore.
