69 Chevelle recessed windshield wipers

My wipers will not park in the full recessed position behind the hood out of sight. How do I adjust this? Took the driver wiper off and saw that it is indexed not like a mid year vette or 69 Camaro.

make sure you have a 69 wiper arm from the motor to wiper transmission, i had the same problem and i somehow had the wrong arm. once changed it worked good. hard to see the difference unless side by side, looked the sam to me at first. good luck, Andy

300 deluxe chevelles and postsedans did not have recessed/hidden wipers. Make sure you have correct wiper motor as well.

What are the differences?

The wiper blade arms and the wiper blade motor is different on a Base line Chevelle model 300. The non-hidden wiper motor is the box type such as you would find on a Camaro or Nova.

I have a 68 El Camino with hidden wipers. Not sure if they are the same but suspect so.
