I’d like to see the pop and see what is the engine code.

It is not a 327 car. Engine code on POP said V1021MU. Here is the cowl tag from the 2015 MCACN show. 4P code with auto means its an SS.

I think 25,000 is a good price for this rare car.

Rust in front windshield area does not bode well for other areas of the car. Owner was asking $38K two years ago.

----I had an original engine very early 67 Camaro 350SS a long time ago. It had a 327 from the factory and I have also heard that other early 67 350SS Camaros came with 327s due to production problems with the 350s. Seems plausible and I had one!.......Bill S

The MU code on the POP designates that this car was originally equipped with a 350 ci 295hp L48. The unique feature for the SS Camaro was the 350 ci engine, because it was the first Chevrolet to get this engine. I guess anything could happen, but I'm not buying 327ci SS Camaros.

Def has some "oddball" things about it. The fenders have 327, SS and some other holes where there was some other emblems on it. If nothing was added, that in itself seems like an oddity, ie the 327 and SS emblems.

Wonder what the holes next to the SS was for?

Def has firebird interior, which is strange as well again if original.

Didn't Fisher Body install the seats? Wouldn't the trim tag reflect the change in interior code? Or since it was a special case and other than a few exchange parts nothing else had to be modified to make this happen and the firebirds were made at the same time but at Lordstown Plant. So the assembly process didn't have to change.

I know the 1968 Chevelles that used Buick seats as a result of strike going on at that time used a different trim code on there trim tag. This was on a much larger scale than this specific example. Just curious.

Have any 1967 SS 350cid. Camaros been found with a factory installed 327cid?
When I saw this @ MCACN,my first thought was this was just an RS Camaro, that someone later installed SS emblems on.

Pictures I took of a vintage original 1967 Autoshow cut away display of the new 350 cid. engine, trans & rearend @ Rons shop back some 20 years ago, right after he received it.

This is certainly an odd ball car. The interior is coded 711 = gold deluxe bucket seats. How would the interior get changed without some special instructions. Did they have the firebird interior delivered from the Lordstown plant to Norwood. When it was at MCACN I wish I had looked at the car. I have a lot of ??????

No, none.

I'm not buying the Firebird seats as original. I'd want to see some proof to back up that claim.
They aren't even deluxe and they were done in a different factory - logistics! Very doubtful they'd build that for no good reason (the seats are almost identical) and if the guy really wanted it (why??), they would do it at afterwards in Warren.

I also don't see anything to back up the claim it was a company car. Original owner lived in Canfield OH.

I would not count this car out 100% as not being original... although the protecto plate with MU is suspicious.

But remember the number 1 camaro?? many doubts about that car at first if I recall..how about the 68 Z vert?? or how about Camaros with original 283?

I would love to really take a close look at this car. I did not see the actual engine code listed?? Anyone know what it is?

Neat car even if not originall. Any RS-SS vert is cool..and this one is fairly loaded !!

The SS emblems on the front fender look like '68 or ? versions, not the flatter '67 style.

It does have Firebird door panels (no Camaro emblem) and dash knobs (with the exception of the cigarette lighter, which is a 1967 Camaro piece). If it was truly a 1967 Firebird interior, wouldn't it also have a grab bar?

I would be curious if it has a 1967 only SS hood on it without the drain holes.
