Do not know if this is a real SS. Price seems very reasonable for the car.

Could be, underneath looks mostly original, has disc brakes, correct rear springs, correct fuel filter. Vin tag is in original dash. Rest has been "restored" :) Straight headrests, so probably no X-code. Without the engine or trans vins, you might never know.

looks to be a nice car but the paint has a lot of orange peel

Don't see a pic of trim tag, but if early, could also be an lm1. See if you can get a pic of the hood springs to count the coils.

124379L512829 makes it a December 1968 build.

Then a LM1 is a possibility as well as an SS, if the rear is original. The hood coil springs will show if it came with the SS hood or not, again, if they are original.
