Rest in peace, Joe. In 2013, when 14 year old me really got into the Day 2 thing, I salivated over the 2nd Camaro he built a few years back as a tribute to his first.

50 year old me (back in 2013) also salivated over that same tribute he built. In fact, just last week I dug them out and drooled over them again after I saw a car that had the potential of being a similar tribute.

Joe will certainly be missed... R.I.P.

I think I've read his book a million times. His son is the editor at KBB I think, and we've corresponded before. May Joe Rest in Peace.

His book and those old issues of Hi Performance Cars are some the best reading there is for muscle cars from the 60's and 70's. I still dig them out periodically to go through the old issues. Prayers and condolence's to his family for their loss.

His road tests and writing style were simply the best. Huge loss.
RIP Joe.
