Many Chevelle and Muscle Car Fans consider the 1970 Chevelle SS to be America’s favourite Muscle car and the one they look for the most is the mighty 454 LS6 450 HP engine option. Enjoyed a lot from the current and previous owners this car has racked up 104,000 Original miles. Painted Cranberry Red in 2007 this car originally came with 14-14 Cortez Silver. Interior was originally a 755 Black bench seat car but now has Black Bucket Seats with Console. Body, Floors and Trunk are all solid original sheet metal and only the Drivers side fender was replaced. Born with CRV Block with Matching Vin number comes with the car along with the original low rise Intake. The car is currently running on another 512 LS6 block that is date code correct and casting numbers correct, The Original M22 is gone but a correct 1970 Chevelle LS6 M22 from a different assembly plant shifts the car on a Hurst Shifter. The Original rear end was replaced by the second owner with a 1972 12 Bolt Posi Rear end with 3.55 ratio (You can still call him to confirm this change with his story). Scheduled build date of this car was the First week of April 1970 on the Cowl Tag, Build sheet has the First Day of April 1970 as the scheduled day and the NCRS Shipping Data report confirms the car was actually built on April 7 1970. SS was built out of the Kansas City Leeds Plant and yes it has the “L” code on the cowl tag. Car was sold out of Quality Chevrolet Inc. in Oak Lawn Illinois when new and it was a “XXX Customer Ordered Car”
This 70 Chevelle SS I'm presenting and consigning today is a superb example of a very nice looking turnkey high quality driver. Documents include Two Original Build Sheets, Past owner history (Second owner can still be reached and he will be happy to chat about the cars history), NCRS Shipping Data Report and it also comes with a certification which is authenticated by Rick Nelson of “Musclecar Restoration and Design” with 11 Pages of Details and Info on the entire car.
Factory Options Include >>> The G80 Posi Rear Axle with the standard 3.31 ratio, LS6 454 450 HP Motor, M22 Transmission, N40 Power Steering, T60 HD Side Terminal Battery, U14 Gauges with Tachometer, U63 AM Radio, ZL2 Cowl Induction and of course the Z15 SS 454 Package. Added options that did not come with the car now include Bucket Seats with Console and Tinted Windows. An aftermarket Radio is installed under the dash. Some key components missing are the complete Smog System with incorrect exhaust manifolds, Holley Carb, Distributor and Alternator.
Car runs and starts fantastic and the current owner has won many awards with this car. The car has never had a frame off restoration and the undercarriage is fairly clean. “With its original engine and original sheet metal as well as complete known owner history and two build sheets, I believe this car to be a good LS6 investment “Rick Nelson.

Neat car, I have a killer NOS Quality Chevy dealer decal circa early 70s that would look awesome on the car.

TTT
Richard has lowered the price to $99,000 which is a very fair starting point for this high quality LS6.
A couple of offers has come in and we decided to wait for another go around from this price point. Any questions please call Richard at the number shown in the first thread.
Thank You sYc for the space.
