If there was ever a car that deserved proper restoration, that's the one. Right colors and options. What a car when done!

One of the nicest color combinations on these cars bar none.

Ditto that... he mentions a few little rust holes in the hood. Figures, no rust in the fenders or quarters, but that incredible hood would have to rust!

Seller says additional photos are available.

Those hoods are notorious for rusting in odd places. I believe moisture gets caught up between the sub structure and the top sheet metal where they are glued. Why this does not happen much on other hoods I do not know but both 67 and 68 SS427 hoods are prone to this. The hood pictured has several rust thru areas.

Fully restored 4 speeds sell in the $50K to $60K range. You would have to do the restoration yourself. Couldn't afford to have it done for you.

Or just do a sympathetic cleanup, get it driveable and preserve it as it is. No, not for the money/flip but just because it's a cool car.

Just noticed in the trunk open photo that there is factory black sprayed along the rear edge of the trunk above the taillights and bumper.

Your friend has had a lot of nice cars over the years. Would run into him at local cars shows frequently - nice guy.
Not exactly a muscle car, but my mother-in-law bought a 67 impala convertible brand new and still has it today. Bolero red, white top, white interior. Original paint and completely untouched except a replaced seat cover. That is the last good-looking year for the impala IMO.
