AFAIK the hood scoop which was a popular OTC item for Super Duty Pontiacs is from a Ford F800

That is correct. Pontiac Motor Division applied a GM part number to both the hood scoop and the hole in the hood.

I think one of the first truck it was first used on,the scoop was mounted back wards on one side of the hood?Tom

Yes - that is my recollection as well. Maybe even one on each side of the hood (backwards).

Back to topic - I really like this car. Looks like a much nicer car for the money, in terms of fit and finish, than my own. I see a few nits to pick but I am restraining myself...

----I love the car, but its crying for a 3rd pedal! I know its had a T-400 installed, but its still an auto back when 4 gears and a 3rd pedal were mandatory. I hope this doesn't sound negative as I really like the car.......Bill S
